Zenon (Greece)

www.zenon.grk

Zenon was founded in 1987 to promote automation and robotic technologies to the Greek industry by developing a World-Class research centre in robotics. The company specialises in industrial robotics, computer vision and CIM. Over the last three years, Zenon succeeded in completing more than 50 contracts within a broad range of industrial sectors. The company's commitment was rewarded by the development of a world wide innovative robot grinding system based on a force controlled servo tool, conceived, developed and patented by Zenon.

Zenon will be responsible for the development of the autonomous mobile vehicle. This will be capable of climbing steel hulls, operating underwater and deploying the NDT sensor payloads. They will also develop advanced software to manage the overall system.

Reasons for participating
Zenon is an SME that employs 80 persons and specialises in data collection, computer vision, image archiving and CIM. It sees this project as an opportunity to extend its expertise to include the collection and analysis of digital radiographic data.

Role in the project
